Once a year, the jewelry industry prizes are ceremoniously awarded. The Inhorgenta Award. The night of great honors takes place at the same time as Inhorgenta itself - one of the most renowned jewelry trade fairs - and anyone who is nominated for this can count themselves more than lucky. Because it is considered by experts to be the Oscar of the jewelry scene.

But first to Inhorgenta, the trade fair for watches, jewelry and gemstones. Pioneers, well-known names and newcomers to the jewelry and watch industry meet here once a year to present their latest designs and trends.

The highly coveted Inhorgenta Award honors the best products and designs in the jewelry and watch industry in a total of eight categories. Nominated in the “Fashion Jewelry” category, we swap our trade fair clothes for a chic outfit and head to a very special event: the awards gala at the Eisbach Studios in Munich.

Let the (Jewelry) Oscars begin!

The jury that names the winners of the awards consists of well-known personalities such as actress Bettina Zimmermann, who is known from “A Case for Two”, top model Franziska Knuppe, Wempe managing director Anja Heiden, designer Xavier Perrenoud and many more.

They selected the winners of the eight categories from 140 applicants (more than ever before) and five different nations.

AND THE WINNER IS

Jury member and presenter Franziska Knuppe announces the “Fashion Jewelry” category. Our excitement increases because we don't really believe that we will win and that we even have a chance with concrete jewelry.

When the envelope is opened, a thousand thoughts run through our heads.

In 2013 we stood in our 9 m² basement, experimented with concrete and refined our recipe. At the end of 2014, we were the first to combine concrete and crystal chips for jewelry. But the material literally put obstacles in our way. Because with the special mixture came special requirements, techniques and challenges until we were able to work with it so delicately and at the same time achieve enormous stability. And with concrete (especially jewelry made of concrete) came some prejudices that needed to be dismantled and clarified. We had to overcome these hurdles first.

And then our name comes up!

and completely stunned. On the way to the stage we can't really believe it.
